One dashboard,
built once, read for months.
A one-off dashboard build from a single source-of-truth file — a normalised input, a labelled KPI list, and a short set of design notes. This page is about the one-off build, not the ongoing work: the recurring monthly close and the quarterly recurring-report runs are a separate service (see Data Cleanup and the sample work for the recurring shapes).
What the build delivers
Three artefacts, one flat scope.
The same shape the /work case studies describe, broken down by what actually ships on day one. The dashboard is the read-only view; what you walk away with is the file under it, the labels on the numbers, and the notes that survive a hand-off.
Source-of-truth file
A single normalised file the rest of the dashboard reads from. One row per SKU / date / channel, canonical keys, currencies and sign conventions collapsed — the canonical input that does NOT regenerate every cycle.
KPI list
The metrics that ship on day one, each with the formula and the window stated in line. So the dashboard is auditable on day one, not just on the day the deliverable is signed off.
Design notes
A one-page note covering what each chart shows, the join/filter rules, the refresh cadence, and the visual choices — so anyone re-opening the file a month later can re-derive the numbers without you in the room.
Engagement shape
What the engagement looks like.
One build, one source-of-truth file, one set of design notes. You can read the dashboard before you sign off on the scope.
Engagement shape
one-offA source-of-truth file, a labelled KPI list, and design notes.

- The normalised source-of-truth file the dashboard reads from — canonical keys, reconciled currencies, reconciled sign conventions, formulas populated and tied to the source rows.
- The KPI list: every metric the dashboard reports, with the formula and the window stated next to the label, so the dashboard is auditable on day one.
- Design notes — what each chart shows, the join and filter rules, the refresh cadence, and the visual choices, so the file can be re-opened a month later without re-deriving the numbers.
Built once, read for months — designed to be handed off cleanly.
See the work
Closest in shape to a delivered dashboard build on /work is the monthly P&L with the variation spike already isolated — a single source-of-truth file, KPIs labelled in line with their formula and window, and design notes for the join and filter rules.
